for me, giffing was about learning throughout the process itself. the only advice i have is to follow a nice tutorial (cough here’s josh’s wonderful tut cough) and practice. with coloring, all i can really say is experiment? download a few psds (whoop) and test them out on different gifs. toy around with different layers of the psds and see what effect it has on the coloring, and if you’re feeling adventurous, try and make your own from scratch. if it’s the smoothness of gifs that you want to know about, it has to do with the fact that i cap one frame per second on kmplayer. i know this was choppy and vague, but i hope it helped at least a little bit!
